Our family from Crowde managed to get into Forbes 30 under 30 list in Asia for social entrepreneurs. Yohanes Sugihtononugroho and Muhammad Risyad Ganis set up Crowde in 2016 with the aim of addressing the problems faced by smallholder farmers in Indonesia in getting access to capital to grow their farms. Their digital crowd-investing platform gives farmers an alternative to funds from banks and loan sharks. Public investors can contribute as little as one dollar via e-payment to support a range of agricultural projects that can be monitored online. Once the crops are harvested, the investors receive a share of the profits. Crowde was recognized for services to agriculture at the DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia competition 2017. Congrats guys!
